Any device that attaches to the internet can be used by fraudsters to target us, be it through emails we receive asking for our personal details, websites that we visit to make purchases and social media messages offering investment opportunities.

If you suspect that you have been defrauded, it is important that you take the following action:
- Notify your bank. The quicker you do this, the better chance you have to stop criminals taking your money and to protect yourself.
- Contact local Police using the 101 number, or 999 if the criminal is with you, and you feel unsafe, and report to Action Fraud.
