Whether you are injured or not, the distress caused by a Robbery can be very unpleasant. It can be very frightening and shocking to be threatened with violence or to have someone use force to steal from you. So even without injuries or physical hurt, it’s a violent and distressing crime.
Being confronted by a thief, who might be using a weapon or the threat of a weapon, can be a traumatic experience for anyone and we all have our own unique reactions to events like this.
No matter how you have responded or coped, remember that it’s never your fault – only the offender is to blame and nobody has the right to take things from you by force.
